Panasonic Toughbook Serial Number Decoder
Things you need to know before buying recovery or restore media.
1) What is the FULL MK or Mark model # of your unit ?
Turn on your Toughbook, when you see the PANASONIC LOGO hit the 'F2' key to see your BIOS screen or check for a label on the bottom of your Toughbook (sometimes this label can be unreadable due to wear or missing). Write down the full model # to order the RESTORE RECOVERY CD DVD discs. It will be like this...CF-19FJL32AM
Panasonic puts out several sub-models of each main model. So the first generation is considered MK1 or Mark 1. The next generation MK2 and so on. As you see below CF-18 models have 5 different MK sub-models for example. The outside cosmetics are identical or very close but the differences are on the internal hardware.
2) For CF-18 / CF-19 owners only. Do you have TABLET DIGITIZER or TOUCHSCREEN?
Weighing in at a solid 8.2 lbs, the sixth generation Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 31 held its ground as the toughest PC notebook ever for quite a few years – until the entry of the TOUGHBOOK 33 in 2017. Designed for field-based professionals, this TOUGHBOOK is vibration, shock, water, and dust resistant and ideal for use underground, in tight spaces, or where wet or bad weather. For an updated video on locating model numbers and serial numbers on your Toughbook see: Toughbook Seria. The full model number of any Toughbook is 'CF-' followed be nine characters. With the exception of the oddball CF-50 and CF-51, a Toughbook's mark always correlates with the third character after the 'CF-': CF-31 A xxxxxx, CF-19 R xxxxxx, etc. Decode Capabilities Following codes are supported as the factory default. Codabar, Code39, Code128/GS1-128, DataMatrix, I2of 5, PDF417, QR Code, GS1 Databar, UPC/EAN.
